What Do You Want To Be?
Day 3: January 3, 2024
CC here,
How will you survive?
The past is in the past. You can’t change the past. Move onward…
I had a job interview yesterday. I searched the World Wide Web. There are resources and sources available to you all at your finger tips. Move forward. Who am I? Who are you? Fill out an application and submit.
I completed my application and submitted the electronic form online last week via a job search site. Two days later, I received an email. You are confirmed for a phone interview January 2, 2024 at 10:45 am. Getting the interview is a step in the right direction.
The interview was hosted by a recruiter. Basic questions were asked. How did you hear about our company? How long have you been in your field? What is your philosophy? What preferences would you like in this company? What challenges have you faced? Tell me about yourself. Do you have any questions? And so on…
I passed the first round. Next step is an in person interview scheduled. I studied the hosting website. I reviewed my resume. I compared my philosophy to the company’s philosophy. I’m ready.
Interviews… This is not my first company I interviewed with. The process is trial and error. If you don’t get through the rounds of interviews or the job for that matter, keep applying to as many jobs. The notion is hit or miss. The company for you is out there. There is not a limit on how many jobs you can apply for.
Let’s say you don’t have a degree. Search the World Wide Web for jobs with no experience. There are internships that might be just right for you. There are also positions that provide housing. Just search the internet. This can be a start. If you have a degree from an institution, that institution may have a career center to help you too. Don’t limit yourself.
There are full time jobs and part time jobs. You are the one making the choice. You are the controller of yourself. What you apply for and the direction you want to go in is your choice. You are also in control of your information you provide to people and how you want to survive in this world. The companies that you apply to then have to make their decisions. Keep going. Keep shining you. Get to know the company that will be the one that’s your fit. Let the work force see you, as you stand out from others for them to hire you. Your qualifications, your assets, your personality are valued. Thrive. Motivate yourself. Do. Be employed. Go… Succeed… Get the job you want that will help you survive.
Where your journey begins is yours. Be mindful and do what matters most to you.
Live.
